It’s true that anarchists are sexier, smarter, and more creative than the average marketing agent, so you’d think that stuff like this would happen a little more often. Sure, you see commercials with people marching in the streets, or ads claiming that to buy their product is to take a stand, but I can’t think of the last time I saw such blatant co-optation. It’s kind of beautiful, and as much as I want to hate it, my inner nihilist kind of loves it. I want to meet this person who saw the Crimethinc/Nikki McClure poster and thought to themselves, “This could make me millions”.
